Speed limit tips
1. Roads with street lights – speed limit 30 mph unless otherwise sign posted
2. When you turn into a new road – if the speed limit changes there will be a sign
3. No sign means – same speed limit
4. When a dual carriage way becomes a single carriageway – speed limit changes
5. National speed limit on a dual carriageway – 70 mph
6. National speed limit on a single carriageway – 60 mph
7. Some vehicles are restricted by law – see “The Official Highway Code”
8. The speed limit is the absolute maximum speed for that road
9. Drive at an appropriate speed for road and traffic conditions
10. Never exceed the maximum speed limit
